Of french and mandarin...

the topic of multi-linguism is everywhere. there are language course everywhere nowadays. french, spanish, japanese and mandarin seems like popular choices for the masses nowadays. Not to mention ASEAN lanuguages like malay, thai, tagalog or tung viet. i find it funny when the ice-cream auntie was very surprised that i could speak mandarin. hahaha. albeit a teensy weensy bit and i couldnt understand a large part of what she was rattling on and on about, she laughed and said she din expect this. lame?

anyway, i dunno if i should take on a foreign laguage next year or try to polish up my mandarin. the prospect of travelling to a foreign country and not knowing how to communicate terrbily scares me
