i found this part of the site hilarious. i got to this site trying to find some supplementary help for my hopeless chemistry. then i stumbled upon the 'answers wanted' section. i tell you, i had a great time laughing at the questions man.

Q18147: My basement is constantly wet and there is a big hole in the main brace wall and a pile of dirt from underneath the wall has been there since we have lived here. I first started noticing little pimple like sores on everyone, then I started noticing stuff on the walls inside the house. Stringlike things started coming out of everything and now our skin looks terrible. I am a very clean person and some would probably tell you that I am compulsive over it. My boyfriend went to the basement to change the hotwater heater out and came running inside saying there was something on back of neck. I sprayed some kind of insecticide on it and I could see hundreds of little white things that looked like they were standing and squirming out of control. Well, we have spent more money on fungicides and treatments on this house than the rent. My children sound like trains when they sleep and my skin which was flawless looks like I have eczema or ringworm. Please help me. Now I am scared that all the pesticides and treatments we have used will have effected my children. We are in a rock and a hard spot. We want to move desperately but there is just not that many places to rent where we live. Will this go away? Will we always feel moody and uncontrollably out of control? (04-May-02)

i tink you should get the doctor. hallo? spend so much on pesticides and fungicides? isnt it better to go to a professional and get help... the infestation sounds serious. good lord, i cant imagine that happening to me. i get the heeby-ke-jeebies thinking about it. yech.

Q15527: In several instances in my life, close friends and loved ones have told me that my eyes glow red in the complete dark. This happens every four years or so, with people that don't know of each other. Each one who has seen this, is freaked out and freaks me out. Q9559: After lightning struck the flagpole,5 feet outside my office window, I was at my computer with my hand on the mouse,the lightening surged under the groyund , blew the phone wire out of the wall and destroyed my computer. After, I had a tingling on my tongue and ringing in my left ear, and a head-ache on the left side.all sysmtoms went away after an hour.but after that, everytime i get on my cell-phone, my tongue starts to burn and i taste a metallic taste in my mouth. If I stay on the cell to long, my tongue will start to swell. If I stay off the cell, my symtoms go away.Why is this happening? What can I do? I need my cell-phone daily at work. and even if I use my ear-phones, it will still happen but it takes longer. (23-Aug-00)

Q9257: We were recently exploring a freshwater pond in northern Wisconsin, and we found these unusual clear, gelatinous masses, some as big as a grapefruit. They were transparent with a green tinge. I thought they may have been some sort of egg mass, but I there were no visible cell nuclei or embryos. In fact, if you looked closely, inside each mass were protozoans swimming around, like in a mini bubble. The masses were tough enough to be picked up without breaking. If you know what these may have been, I'd really appreciate knowing because we are stumped. Thanks. (07-July-00)
